St. Stephen's De La Salle

Mr. Russell’s 5th Class were out and about again! They visited City Hall on Wednesday, October 3rd, for a Children’s Book Festival event organised by Waterford Libraries. Children’s authors Caroline Busher and E.R. Murray entertained the large crowd with classes from many different schools. They told spooky tales, asked for stories from the audience, and even told a few ghost stories from Waterford itself! They then had all the boys and girls give suggestions for a ghost which would be drawn on the flipchart. Nathan from 5th Class suggested some bright glittery pants! It was time then to name the ghost – three suggestions were taken, before Mathew proposed “Bald Patch” in honour (is that an honour?!?!) of his teacher – that was then was voted the winner.
