On June 14th, 2013, St. Stephen’s De La Salle was awarded our first EVER Green Flag! The hard work put in by Mrs. Breen and all the boys on the Green Schools Committee was finally rewarded as An Taisce recognised our school’s efforts to reduce waste and recycle more. We had a special ceremony where the Green Flag was raised for the first time by two boys from the Green Schools Committee, along with members of the Board of Management.
We then set out to win our second flag, this time, for energy and electricity. In May 2015, Mr. Morris, Mrs. Breen and two boys from the Green Schools Committee travelled to Kilkenny after 2 years of hard work towards gaining an energy flag –
June 2017 saw another milestone reached, as once again, Mr. Morris, Mrs. Breen and two boys from the Green Schools Committee travelled to Kilkenny after 2 years of outstanding work –
