St. Stephen's De La Salle

St. Stephen’s De La Salle Under 10 Gaelic Football team had a historic victory in Gracedieu on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018! It is the first time that St. Stephen’s have won the U-10 Gaelic Football Cup in well over a decade. On the way to lifting the trophy, our boys defeated Holy Cross, Ballygunner and their De La Salle arch-rivals St. Declan’s. To beat these schools in one day is a fantastic achievement!

Each one of the panel showed great skill, determination and team spirit to come out on top of such a strong group of teams. The boys should be extremely proud of the way the played. Their good attitude and excellent behaviour at training and at matches is a great example for the younger boys in the school that hope to lift the trophy in years to come! The panel of players were Toby, Conor, Shane, Caoilinn, Eoin, Gregor, Vavrik, Bobby, Johnny, Daragh, Arlo, Aaron, Liam, Conor, Keelan, Jamie, Adam, Alex and Paddy. Well done to all the players and to managers Mr. O’Sullivan and Mr. Cantwell. Thanks to Mr. O’Sullivan for the report too! See some photos of the victorious panel in the gallery:
