The boys in 5th Class were very lucky to get a chance to Skype with Armagh Observatory! The class were joined by Heather and Tom for a chat about the solar system, the planets, some of the characteristics of the planet and their moons, what a nebula is, how to look for planets in the night sky, as well as taking lots of questions from the boys! We’re very grateful to Sinead who set up the call and to Heather and Tom for giving so much of their time during Space Week to join the boys on Skype and have such an exciting talk about space! The talk was so interesting that the boys didn’t get to take many photos – but the ones below are pretty awesome! On the left is Heather and Tom, and the call ended with a class dab, which is on the right!
