Mr. Russell’s 5th Class were learning about famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. They learned a little about his life, and how he died. The class listened to the Don MacClean song “Vincent”, written about Van Gogh and how misunderstood he was while he was alive. The boys also looked at many different works from Van Gogh, such as Starry Night, Shoes, Self Portrait, White House at Night, The Potato Eaters and Sunflowers. It was this last one that the class took on, and made their own artistic interpretations of this famous masterpiece. Indeed, the versions made by the boys are masterpieces too!
