We have so many amazing things happening in all classes! And Drumming was always a very popular project in our 1st to 6th Classes. Mr. Russell’s 5th Class 2019/2020 LOVED drumming just as much as everyone else! The boys had so much fun with the Djembes and learned about the different notes and some rhythms, as well as the areas of Africa where the traditional drums are made! The boys also focussed on some rhythms – without playing drums! They learned a traditional song and rhythm called Sassa. The class learned some more really fun rhythms – again without playing drums! Concentration was needed to be up with everything but it was a huge amount of fun! And to finish Drumming for 2019/2020, the drums were brought back in and great fun was had by all, with call and answer games, pass the rhythm, and a drum battle! Check out the photos below as 5th Class enjoyed Drumming in September 2019!
