St. Stephen's De La Salle

5th Class were visited by a volunteer from Waterford One World Centre, along with some students from transition year in the Mercy Secondary School and Abbey Community College, on Friday, January 25th. They came to talk to the classes about Climate Change and SDGs – Sustainable Development Goals. The class took part in a talk about different SDGs, and then talked about the Rainforests and the dangers that they face. There was a good debate about things that are good for the Rainforest and those that are not, while there was also a discussion about FairTrade products. All the boys in 5th Class enjoyed the talk and learned lots about SDGs, climate change and how we can all play a part in helping our planet. Check out some photos from the talk:
