The Mayor visits St. Stephen’s! – St. Stephen's De La Salle

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Waterford, Cllr. Jody Power, to St. Stephen’s on Thursday, October 26th, 2023.

The Mayor was welcomed to our school as Gaeilge by two outstanding representatives from Mr. Morris’ and Mr. Coghlan’s 6th Classes, before he took the microphone and spoke about the pride we can take in our school and in our city, which was voted in 2022 as Ireland’s Best Place To Live.

Mayor Power then presented the All Star Awards for October to boys from each class, who also take a place on the All Stars board! As well as that, the Mayor presented Smyths vouchers to the winners of the Colouring Competition and the Poster Competition for Attendance, run by Miss Robinson, our Home School Liaison Teacher.
