It’s always great to get a chance to chat with an author and Mr. Russell’s and Miss Doyle’s 5th Classes did just that on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, when they visited the Central Library in Lady Lane to meet author Brian Gallagher from Dublin!
Brian spoke about how to get ideas for writing, to keep at it and not give up just because things might get a little difficult, and he spoke about how important it is to write about something that you are interested in yourself as that will help you to be the best writer that you can be! Brian talked about some of his books including Resistance, Pawns, Winds of Change and his latest book, The Case Of The Vanishing Painting. Everyone had a chance to talk about the cover of the book and Brian shared some alternative covers created by an artist that were considered before the final cover was settled on, before a Q&A about books, writing and being an author!
Thanks to Waterford City Libraries for the invitation for our boys to attend the talk with Brian Gallagher, and to Brian for his time and willingness to answer so many questions, as well as the signed poster of his newest book that he gave to the boys to bring back to school.
