St. Stephen's De La Salle

A Visit to the Giving Tree

Mrs. Breen’s Senior Infants, along with their buddies in Mr. Russell’s 5th class, together with Miss Hickey’s Junior Infants, and their buddies in Mr. Casey’s 6th Class, and Miss Hickey’s boys and their buddies in Mr. Keevers’ 6th Class, went to pay a visit to the Giving Tree in George’s Court on Thursday, December 15th. The Giving Tree is a yearly tradition in Waterford, where children from local schools are invited to place a handmade decoration on the Tree. For every decoration that is placed on the tree, a toy or game is donated to a local charity. The boys from all the classes were delighted to place their handmade decorations on the tree, and everyone had great fun as they all sang Jingle Bells in the middle of the shopping centre!
