Miss Nevin’s Junior Infants enjoyed learning all about the doctor’s surgery during Aistear! During our theme of ‘The Doctor’ we took part in many activities. We used a ‘roll and colour’ game to help with our vocabulary. We used our cutting skills to make a skeleton and we investigated some x-rays of different parts of the body. We enjoyed a story called ‘Dr. Fen at Number Ten’. We also had a doctors’ surgery with a waiting area, a receptionist ready to take appointments and often a team of doctors ready to treat the patients. Mr. Morris visited the surgery one day with an arm injury and after a short wait in the waiting area, he was seen quickly and all fixed up.
