St. Stephen's De La Salle

Mr. Russell’s 3rd class were learning about the famous ship, the RMS Titanic. The ship is famous because it was known as the unsinkable ship – but on its maiden voyage in 1912, the Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank less than 3 hours later. Lots of passengers and crew members died. After learning about the disaster, the boys made a stunning 3D model of the front of the ship, called the bow, and the man mast and first funnel. It took a few weeks to complete the project with painting, boxes, gluing and all the different things that needed to be done to hold it all together! Check out some photos of the construction in progress and the boys standing next to the completed piece in the gallery below!
