St. Stephen's De La Salle

Mr. Russell’s 5th Class 2024/2025 added another famous artist to their list of artists they have looked at. This time, the boys looked at work by Wassily Kandinsky. They learned a little about his life in Russia, where he was born in the 1800s, and his belief that colours had a soul. The boys also read about how Kandinsky painted things instead of people, leading to his famous painting “Circles”. So the class, using their creative freedom with colours, created their own versions of Kandinsky’s Circles.
