On Thursday, October 20th, 2022, our Under 10 Gaelic footballers took part in the second blitz at De La Salle GAA grounds in Gracedieu. Having won 2 of our 3 games at the previous blitz two weeks earlier, we were placed in a group with strong opposition, including St. Declan’s, Holy Cross Tramore and Ballygunner. While ultimately we were not successful on the day, the boys gave a great account of themselves. Their discipline, hard work, determination and willingness to keep working were a credit to them and it was fantastic to see the boys putting into practice the various skills that they have been mastering at training after school each week in Cleaboy.

Being active, whether in competitive sports or playing with friends, is so important for children and the benefits are endless for all aspects of life, now and for the future. We would encourage the boys to continue to practice their skills as there is no substitute for getting out in the fresh air and playing with friends.
