Wednesday, October 19th 2022, we celebrated National Lámh Sign Day in St. Stephen’s. Lámh is a form of sign language used by those learning to speak and that need to communicate without words.
We use Lámh in our junior classes in school. The boys love it and we are so proud seeing them use their signs everyday. Dizzy Deliveries is a fun show on RTE Junior. The main character uses Lámh. The boys were watching in school to help celebrate this special day.
We hope everyone enjoys the day and that everyone in our school environment knows what they have to say, even without words, is valued.
