For the fifth year in a row, Mr. Russell’s 5th Class entered the Lasallian Competition. The theme for 2020 was “In the Words of John Baptist de La Salle”. Since 2015, the entries from St. Stephen’s have won a category every year, with St. Stephen’s being the ONLY primary school taking part in 4 out of the 5 years. The boys had a very innovative idea – they custom built a website using Google Sites, exploring some of the words of John Baptist de La Salle with quotes taken from letters he wrote, and added short video slideshows for each quote too. The project website is HERE – and the embedded video clips are below! The boys attended the Competition Finals Day in Castletown, Co. Laois, on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 and were winners in the Junior Prize category, and then went on to WIN the competition as overall winners of the De La Salle Cup!
