Mr. Russell’s 5th Class visited SETU on the Cork Road for a fun workshop called “Mathemagic” as part of Maths Week 2024! The workshop was presented by Mr. Steve Sherman from Living Maths in South Africa, a long time friend and collaborator of Mr. Russell! Mr. Sherman had secretly visited St. Stephen’s the night before the show on his first ever visit to Waterford and grabbed a photo in the boys’ classroom – and opened the show with the photo to everyone’s surprise! The show was excellent and the boys learned some magic Maths tricks to bring home and amaze their friends and family! After the show, the boys got to meet Mr. Sherman and they took a lovely group photo. They’ll be talking to Mr. Sherman online many more times during 5th Class 2024/2025! Well done to all of the boys!
