Lots of fun in St. Stephen’s with practice chanter lessons! John and Pat from the De La Salle Scout Pipe Band visited classes from 3rd to 6th to teach the boys how to play practice chanters – a precursor to learning how to play the bagpipes. They also brought in a set of bagpipes to show the boys how the practice chanter learning can be transferred to the bagpipes, and played a few tunes. Pictures here from Mr. Russell’s 3rd Class:
