A thrilling STEM challenge in Mr. Russell’s 5th Class! The boys used marshmallows and spaghetti to create their own bridges. There was a lot of talk and discussion around the style of the bridges after the class had been discussing cable suspension bridges, arch bridges, drawbridges and beam bridges. Each group had to decide what design to use for their bridge and how many marshmallows to use. The challenge was that the bridge had to hold a pencil’s weight for at least 60 seconds. Great creative minds at work in 5th Class! Check out the brilliant photos of the boys at work – a great way to “pasta” time during an interesting STEM activity!
