Ciara Sheedy visited Mr. Russell’s and Miss Flavin’s 3rd Classes in November 2023 for a talk about food and nutrition. Ciara is a nutritionist who has taken up the post of Community Food and Nutrition Worker for Waterford City. Part of Ciara’s role is to link in with schools in a bid to improve nutritional knowledge and develop the health awareness of children in schools. Ciara chatted with the boys about healthy eating, balanced lunch boxes and nutrition for Active living and sports, as well as taking some great questions from the two classes. Well done to all involved and thanks to Miss Robinson, our Home School Liaison Teacher, for organising this very worthwhile workshop!
