Mr. C. Hayden’s 6th Class learned about Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh and his wonderful poem, “Shancoduff”. As the boys read the poem, they learned how beauty can be seen in the most ordinary of things. The class chose the line “They are my Alps and I have climbed the Matterhorn” and illustrated this to great effect! See some of the results in this gallery:
