St. Stephen's De La Salle

Mr. Russell’s 3rd Class 2021/2022 were learning all about procedural writing. Procedural writing is where you write instructions on how to do something and the reader can follow the instructions to complete the task. Examples would be how to take a penalty kick, how to play chess, how to bake a cake and so on. The boys wrote the procedure for “How to make Rice Krispie Buns”! They learned how you have to break everything down into simple steps, like you see in a cookbook – and you have to use bossy words to start the sentence, like “put”, “place”, “heat”, “scoop”, and lots of other bossy words!  Everyone did a great job – and then got to test out the procedure by making Rice Krispie Buns. They looked delicious! Check out some great photos below!
