Miss Murphy’s 5th Class love learning and everyone enjoyed learning about The Burren in SESE recently! The word “Burren” comes from the old Irish word “boíreann” which means a rocky place. The Burren is certainly a rocky place! Did you know that around 70% of all the different species of flowers in Ireland live in The Burren? That’s just one of the many facts that the boys learned about one of Ireland’s most famous places. After completing this interesting topic, the boys made some terrific projects to showcase what they had learned. And the projects are really, really super!
