Remote Learning in January 2021 didn’t stop Mr. Russell’s 3rd Class from learning about famous civil rights leader Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. The boys learned about the Montgomery Bus Boycott in Alabama in America, and how terrible laws called segregation laws allowed for the separating of people based on skin colour. They learned about the bus boycott, and the work of Martin Luther King – and the boys watched the “I Have A Dream” speech live online before writing their own dreams for the world of 2021. Then the class did a drawing activity in a live online class where they followed instructions to draw Martin Luther King. The drawings were fantastic! Check them out in the gallery below!
