Our Under 11 and Under 13 hurlers have been back training for the last few weeks. We are all delighted to be back and the boys really love coming up to Cleaboy after school to train and have fun with their friends and classmates. After almost two years without school sports teams, a number of boys are playing hurling for the first time and it is wonderful to see them taking this opportunity to try something new and to represent their school. All of the boys come to training with enthusiasm and smiles on their faces.

The under 13’s were defeated by a strong Ballygunner team in their first game in late March 2022. However, the spirit and determination of the St. Stephen’s boys was wonderful to see and they never gave up. Well done to all of the boys on a fantastic effort all round. Thanks to Mr. C. Hayden, Mr. R. Hayden, Mr. Barrett, Mr. Morris and Miss Murphy for all their work with the boys!
