The 2018/2019 Roots of Empathy programme in 5th Class has come to an end. The final Family Visit took place on Wednesday, June 6th 2019, when baby Aidan came to visit for the final time for the final theme. It was in one sense a sad occasion, and yet it was a happy time, as the class, Michelle, David, big brother Joe, Miriam and baby Aidan celebrated the year that Aidan has spent visiting 5th Class. Some lovely photos were shown, a beautiful Roots of Empathy tree was presented, with all the boys’ wishes for Aidan, a DVD was shown of Aidan’s year with the class, from his first visit in October 2018 to the visit for theme 8, and everyone could see how much Aidan has grown, and the celebration was rounded off with some sweets, chocolate and drinks!
A big thanks to baby Aidan and his mum Michelle and dad David for helping to make the Roots of Empathy programme so successful this year. Of course, a huge thank you to Miriam, who, as the RoE facilitator made it all so interesting and engaging every week.
